What to Expect at Color Correction

Step one is always a consultation. We need to see your hair in person before we promise anything.

1. Strand history. We talk through everything that's been on your hair in the past 2 to 3 years.
2. Strand test. Sometimes we test a small section to see how hair reacts before we plan the full correction.
3. Game plan. We tell you whether it's one long session or multiple visits, with realistic timing.
4. Execution. Could be lifting, depositing, glossing, or all three. K18 is almost always part of correction work.
5. Cut and finish. Often we recommend a fresh cut to remove the most damaged ends.

Color Correction Pricing

Color correction is priced by the hour because every case is different. Sessions start at $185+ per hour with the master colorist, plus product. Most corrections take 4 to 8 hours and may need multiple sessions. We always quote you a full estimate at consultation before any service starts. We weigh the color so you only pay for what's used.

How to Care for Hair After Color Correction

Your hair has been through a lot. The aftercare matters more than usual.

• Use take-home K18 after every wash for the first 4 to 6 washes.
• Deep mask weekly.
• Sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo only.
• Heat protection on every styling tool.
• No new color services without us. One bad reaction can undo the correction.
• Plan a follow-up gloss or toner around the 6 to 10 week mark.

Calgary's hard water and dry climate can fade tones fast. Consider a shower filter and a once-a-week clarifying treatment.

Color Correction FAQs

Can you fix box dye at home?

We can fix it in the salon. Don't keep applying box dye trying to lighten it. That makes it worse. Come see us.

Can you turn dark hair blonde in one session?

Sometimes. Often it takes 2 or 3 visits to do it without compromising the hair. More on that here.

How much damage will correction cause?

Some, always. We mitigate with bond-builders, weighing product, and pacing the journey. We won't push your hair past what it can handle.

Can you fix green hair from a pool or chlorine?

Yes. Usually with a clarifying treatment plus a corrective gloss. Easier than most corrections.

What if I want to go from blonde back to brunette?
