"Hey Guys, so Urban Texture Hair Studio originally started as a cozy 500 sq/ft space in my house. I have a huge passion for interior design, so I wanted the salon's name to reflect my love for different textures in both hair and modern, urban aesthetics. So in 2004, Urban Texture Hair Studio Inc. was born — I was determined to not just be your average basement salon, so I worked incredibly hard to create an environment and an experience like no other! As our reputation grew, and my passion for business grew we expanded to our now larger location in Beacon Heights in NW Calgary. We may be in the burbs… but we have a sexy downtown vibe with free, convenient parking.

Our salon attracts guests from all over, and they often comment on how they feel comfortable to see any of our stylists here and they love how much our team genuinely enjoys working together — this is what has driven our success. You'll find plenty of hugs, laughter, and playful shenanigans here, and we even love hanging out together outside the studio whenever we can.

My mission is to empower and mentor my team to elevate the beauty industry's standards. With a stunning salon environment and a strong focus on ongoing education, we're dedicated to creating the best and the brightest stylists in Calgary. As a teaching salon, you might have more than one set of hands in your hair, giving you that celebrity experience.
